Legacy: Memory Maker

Leave them more than pictures.

Leave them your stories, your voice, and the things you want them to know.

Legacy: Memory Maker is a private family archive built around the people you love. Capture a moment in seconds, tell the story behind it in your own voice, and watch each person's timeline grow into something your children and grandchildren will treasure.

Jamie and Dad, the fishing trip. 2026.

Why this exists

A camera roll remembers what happened. It forgets why it mattered.

Photo backup keeps the pixels safe. Thirty years from now, your family will know what you looked like. They will not know what you were thinking that day, why that picture mattered, what your voice sounded like when you told the story, or what you wished they knew.

The photo without the story

A fishing trip is a lake and two people. The story is where you were, what went wrong, and why you still laugh about it.

The voice nobody recorded

Most families have thousands of photos of a grandparent and not one recording of them telling a story.

The letter never written

Everyone means to write the letter for the wedding, the graduation, the hard year. Almost nobody does.

Everything the app wants from you fits on one screen.

No albums to file, no folders to name, no decisions to make before you save. The home screen exists to get you from "they just said something" to saved, in less time than it takes to open a camera roll.

  • One button above everything else. Add a moment is the largest thing on the screen, and the five chips under it skip straight to the kind of capture you want.
  • Don't Forget This has its own card. The ten-second path — type what they said, tap a face, done — never hides behind a menu.
  • The faces are the filing system. Tapping a person is how you file a moment, and the diamond means everyone in the family at once.
  • Lately, not everything. The feed shows the handful of moments you just saved, so the app opens on your own life rather than a loading archive.

The signature feature

Tell the story behind this memory.

Every photo and video in Legacy asks one question: what is the story here? Answer with your voice, on video, or in writing. Ninety seconds of you talking about an ordinary photograph may one day be worth more than the photograph.

  • Voice is a first-class memory. Not an attachment, not a note. Your voice sits beside the picture on every timeline it belongs to.
  • Capture first, organize later. Open the app, tap Add Memory, choose who it is about, save. Five to ten seconds. Titles, dates, and places are optional and can wait.
  • Tell it again years later. The same photo can hold the story you told at thirty and the one you told at sixty.

A year of small moments

You never set aside an afternoon for this. You catch it as it happens.

Nobody sits down to build an archive. What follows is one ordinary year — six stops, none of them planned, most of them under a minute.

Tuesday, 6:40 pm · At the dinner table

"Dad, is the moon following us home?"

He says it between bites and goes back to his peas. You have about ninety seconds before it is gone for good.

Don't Forget This · tap, type, pick Jamie, save · 10 seconds
Saturday morning · The soccer field

The first goal he ever scored

You already took the photo. On the walk back to the car you hold the record button and say what the face he made looked like.

Photo plus a voice note · 25 seconds
Sunday afternoon · Grandma's kitchen

The recipe nobody ever wrote down

She is explaining it anyway, the way she always does, with the part about her mother in the middle. This time the phone is on the counter, recording.

Voice story, saved to Grandma and to the tradition · 4 minutes
A weeknight · The shoebox in the closet

A photograph from 1974 with no one left to explain it

You photograph the print. Legacy asks who is in it and what was happening, and you tell it the half of the story you know before that half goes too.

Imported, dated, and attached to three people at once
December 25 · Christmas morning

The same stairs, the fourth year running

One photo, same angle as always. It lands beside 2023, 2024 and 2025 without you organizing anything.

Added to a tradition · 5 seconds
One quiet evening · After everyone is asleep

A letter he cannot read yet

Everything you want him to know the first time he drives somewhere alone. You write it, then read it aloud so he gets your voice too.

Sealed until he turns 16 · delivered in 2035
Ten years on

Nobody ever scheduled any of it.

Six stops a year, most of them shorter than this sentence took to read, and his timeline holds hundreds of moments, your voice through all of them.

People, not albums

Every person gets a timeline that grows for decades.

Photo apps organize by date and album. Baby-book apps organize by child and age. Legacy organizes around the people in your life: your children, your parents, your spouse, your grandparents, you. One memory can belong to several people without copying a single file.

Open a person's profile and you find their memories, stories, voice recordings, videos, funny quotes, milestones, traditions, letters, and messages waiting for the future. A searchable story of your relationship with them.

One moment, three childhoods

Moments happen to families, not to one person at a time.

Christmas morning does not belong to your oldest. Save it once, say who was there, and it takes its place in every life it touched — the same moment, never a copy.

◆The Boswells

Filed with 2023, 2024 and 2025 — one tradition, four years deep

One file, not four.

The photo is stored once and counts once against your storage. Linking a person is a link, not a copy, so nothing drifts out of sync and nothing is duplicated.

Remove a person, keep the moment.

Taking Haven off a memory unlinks her from it. The moment itself, and everyone else on it, is untouched.

It appears once, wherever you look.

Three children on one moment still means one entry on the family timeline — not the same morning listed three times.

Everything a legacy needs

Built to preserve the moment, the story, the voice, and the person.

Each feature exists to keep something a camera cannot. Items marked later arrive in updates after launch.

How Legacy is different

Not a photo backup. Not a baby book. Not a social feed.

The tools families use today each keep one piece. Legacy keeps the piece that gives the others meaning.

Our promises

Your family's memories belong to your family.

Families have watched memory apps shut down, raise prices, lock exports behind top tiers, and show ads over their children's photos. Legacy is built on the opposite rules, and we put them in writing.

Private by default

Nothing is shared unless you share it. There is no public feed and never will be.

No advertising, ever

Not on free plans, not on paid plans, and never based on what is in your memories.

Your originals stay yours

Transcripts and tidied stories are extras. The original recording and photo are never replaced.

Export any time

Every photo, video, recording, and story, with its metadata, in an open format. On every plan.

Never lose a memory

Saved on your phone the moment you tap. Uploads resume on their own when you are back online.

Designed for decades

A durable archive format and a written continuity promise, so what you record today is readable in 2056.

One family, ten years

What this looks like when it works.

Today

Ten seconds at dinner.A father hears his son Jamie say something funny. He taps Don't Forget This, picks Jamie, types the quote, saves. Legacy records the date and works out that Jamie is four.

Three years later

Ninety seconds by the lake.He imports an old photo of the two of them fishing. Legacy asks for the story behind it. He records where they were, what went wrong, and why he still remembers the day.

Ten years later

A searchable story.Jamie's profile holds hundreds of photos, his father's voice, the funny things he said, milestones, Christmas mornings, letters, and messages waiting for the right day. Not a hard drive of unexplained files. The story of a relationship.

Save the moment. Tell the story. Leave a legacy.
